Materials and Finishes

Design Guidelines for Cost and Manufacturability
Milling cost follows geometry. Avoid sharp internal corners where a corner radius lets a standard cutter pass, keep pocket depths reasonable for the tool length, and leave wall thickness above the practical minimum for the material. Tight tolerances on every face cost more than one precision surface, so flag only what matters.
