Drive Screws
A drive screw is a short screw with a coarse multiple-start thread that is hammered into a drilled or cored hole to form a permanent press fit. It is installed by striking the head, not by turning a driver.
It fastens nameplates, tags, castings and small hardware where the joint is permanent. Electronics and equipment makers use it for tamper-resistant, one-time assembly.
