A narrow shank washer is a small-series flat washer with a reduced outside diameter that matches cheese-head and other narrow-head screws. It sits neatly under a small head without overhanging the component.
Used under small machine screws on instruments, electronics and light assemblies where a standard washer would be too large. Bought by electronics and instrument builders.
