Self-Tapping Screws
A self-tapping screw cuts or forms its own mating thread in a pre-drilled or pierced hole, removing the need for a tapped nut or insert. Thread-forming and thread-cutting point styles cover thin sheet metal and light plate.
It joins sheet metal, light assemblies and thin-wall parts in appliances, electronics and HVAC work. Makers of metal cabinets, lighting fixtures and small machinery buy it for fast assembly of formed parts.
